A few notable projects using Solid Edge were remodeling the Sydney Olympic Cauldron, providing design and manufacturing documentation for the Australian War Memorial on Hyde Park Corner in London, and supporting the implementation of Australia's first stone-cutting robot (7-axis CNC) at Brookvale. Mark’s responsibilities include the creation of demonstration material for internal application engineers and channel partners, customer presentations, update training material, and support for the field personnel. Prior to coming to work in the mechanical CAD industry Mark spent 14 years as a machinist/tool maker. Duane Vaske, Data Management Planning Manager, Siemens PLM SoftwareDuane Vaske, PDM Product Planning Manager, Mainstream Design Products, has over 25 years experience in engineering, visualization, and data management. He has held a variety of positions with Siemens from support to product management of several visualization and PDM products. Duane currently leads product planning for Velocity PDM products. Before joining Siemens, Duane worked in the Aerospace industry as a design engineer specializing in aerodynamics and mission performance. He also helped pioneer a product development environment that applied advanced graphics hardware, software, and visualization techniques to complex engineering problems. Duane hold a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University. Duane enjoys spending free time on his hobby farm with his wife and four children. |

He has over 30 years' of experience in manufacturing and mechanical design. Steve worked as a machinist and CNC programmer in the manufacturing of steam turbines. As a former Intergraph employee, Steve provided customer support and software testing for the Numerical Control software product line. |

Steve Webb, Solid Edge Field Support Siemens PLM SoftwareSteve is an Applications Engineer in the Solid Edge Field Support group. He has over 25 years of experience in mechanical design engineering and mechanical CAD. He has held roles as an Application Engineer and Educator at Siemens PLM Software, PTC, Saratech Inc and Moderntech SI. Before moving into the CAD industry, Steve applied his CAD knowledge in industries including hydraulic gear pumps, high speed packaging equipment, and textile equipment. He holds a two year drafting certification from the Williamston Career and Technology Center. |

The first part of Scott's career included over 10 years of hands-on design and manufacturing experience. The latter part includes over 15 years of experience with the use, training and implementation of CAE products in commercial industry. Scott holds an Associates degree in CAD/CAM Engineering and Drafting Technology and aso a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. With a wife of 15 years and two children, family is everything in Scott's life. Hunting and fishing are his second priority. |
